Perched on the cliffs, you
get the feeling the place could just slide
down the
mountain anytime. And part of its beauty is the fact that you can't
throw a dead cat (or gyro, for that matter) without
hitting a blue-domed church.
These cool little domed
churches are Greek Orthodox. Which makes sense,
since 98% of the population in Greece is Greek Orthodox.
And you know how a person
gets inspired by beauty? Well,
that's what the faith is supposed to be do to us, as well. It's
something that
inspires us. That brings us peace.
I think the churches do a
pretty good job at the inspiration part. It's up to us to make it
meaningful in our lives.
