Lino. My question has to do with hell. If your soul is eternal and your
physical body is what causes you to feel pain, how can hell be
effective
at punishing you?

If
there's one thing I'm an expert in, it's inflicting pain on others.
And the reason hell is
"effective" at punishing
someone is because the only thing worse than physical pain is the pain
your soul feels.
"But, Lino" you may say,
nervously..."I'm a really,
really white person. I'm wonder-bread white. I feel I have no
soul!"
Well, my albino friend, I don't mean James
Brown Soul. I mean our eternal souls. Everyone has a soul. And it
feels pain way more than the physical pain of the headache you get
after my stupid jokes.
For instance, if a loved
one dies - we feel pain.
It's not physical pain, but it's our soul which aches. Or when a girl
breaks
up with me (all too common, unfortunately), I'd say I'm heart-broken.
That
doesn't mean my heart is physically damaged, of course. But real loss
and
real emotional/spiritual pain can be even worse than physical pain. And
in hell, our souls are separated from the loving, eternal God. And
being
away from God for all eternity would be a real pain in the...
