Mary
Q:
Why do
Catholics put so much emphasis on Mary? Nowhere in the entire
Bible does it say that we are to pray for her or she prays for us. Only
Jesus is our intercessor! Exodus 20 talks about having no other
Gods before Jehovah God Almighty!! It is time to repent!!!

A:
Why do
Catholics put so much emphasis on Mary? I wonder why some people put so
much emphasis on exclamation points. But nonetheless:
We emphasize Mary because there's some verse in the Bible, I don't
quite remember where, about "Honor Thy Mother and Father".
Well, there was a guy named Jesus. And to make a long (and really
cool!) story short:
He had a Blessed Virgin for a Mother. Her name's Mary. And as
Christians, we believe Jesus is our Lord. And brother. So He taught us
to call God "Father". And did I mention He's our brother...? Well,
that's why we honor His Mother. Because in becoming Mother of Jesus,
she became Mother of us all.
So that's why we put so much emphasis on her. But you're right -
nowhere in the Bible does it say that we are to pray for her. Because
that would be just silly. Thus, that's why we don't pray to her like
she is God. We do, however
pray for her intercession. Because who knew Jesus better than his own
mom?
And I do agree with you. It's time to repent. From my jokes. And from
adding too many !!!'s in a sentence.
