Remember the Tonight Show
with Johnny Carson? Well...
Hereeeeeeeeeeeeee's Eddie!
We somehow got Ed McMahon
on the show. Thats ridiculous.
He's a television legend.
I'm...um...nothing.
Born and raised Catholic, his first real tv gig was when he was in
college at Catholic University of America. He served in the Marines,
sat next to Johnny Carson for 30 years, one of his closest friends was
Frank Sinatra. And now he's stuck with me.
Look at me. I'm just standing there staring at him. I'm a hack. What do
you say to a legend? I was nervous. Sweating. But trying to stay cool.
When it was all over, I wanted him to give me a "Heere's Lino" or even
a "Hiyo!". But I didn't have the nerve to ask.
So we got a picture with the Catholic Guy crew instead...
Ed McMahon has been doing TV for 60 years. And you don't need to be
Karnak to figure out I won't be having the kind of career that he has.
You can almost hear him
saying it now... "That is correct, sir!"
